The following payments will automatically be declined due to anti-fraud rules recommended in the UK

• Cards registered to countries outside of the origin of purchase (tolerant within reason)
• Cards where the incorrect CVC number is used
• Cards that do not support, or fail Bank Authenticity checks via 3-D secure (verification in bank app, via user input)
• Cards that are prepaid
• Cards that are virtual
• Cards / Persons that are deemed a risk by Stripe, or have a payment success rate of less than 80% in the last 365 days across the stripe platform.

Effective 5th November 2023, pre-existing cards will also be subject to the above rules, even if successfully authenticated in the past. Apologies for the stringent rules, but its in mine, yours and the banks in-between’s interests to ensure that processes are safe.
